- [ ] Collect demand history, item and location masters, stock, open supply, and policy assumptions.
- [ ] Flag missing dates, stockouts, returns, discontinued items, and unit conversions.
- [ ] Select representative segments and a time-based evaluation period.
- [ ] Compare with a simple baseline and the current process.
- [ ] Review error, bias, exception handling, and operational consequences.
- [ ] Demonstrate approval and reconcile one output with the receiving system.
- [ ] Assign owners, record limitations, and agree rollout acceptance criteria.
